An educational event was held at the Sumgayit State Vocational Training Center on the topic “Historical significance of National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s decree on the genocide of Azerbaijanis dated March 26, 1998”.
At the event held with the participation of the teaching and student staff of the educational center, the memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the victims of the 1918 genocide was commemorated with a minute of silence. During the speech, the speakers noted that the decree signed by National Leader Heydar Aliyev on March 26, 1998 regarding the genocides against Azerbaijanis in 1918 gave a political assessment to these events.
It was stated that political evaluation of the genocides committed against Azerbaijanis in the 20th century by the National Leader played a major role in strengthening the national memory.
At the end of the event, a video dedicated to the genocide of Azerbaijanis was shown.
