A training session on "The Protection and Promotion of Multicultural Values" was organized for employees of historical preservation sites. As part of the projects implemented by the Baku International Multiculturalism Center to safeguard, promote, and develop multicultural values, an online training was held from October 7 to 11 for the employees of the “Genocide Memorial Complex” in Guba and the “Chiraggala-Shabran” State Historical and Cultural Reserve, in response to their request. / 23 October, 2024

The training featured lectures by the Executive Director of the Baku International Multiculturalism Center, Ravan Hasanov; Rector of the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology, Aqil Shirinov; Head of the Information Support and Documentation Department at the Baku International Multiculturalism Center, Yadigar Mammadli; Head of the Analytics Department, Rashad Ilyasov; Public Relations Specialist at the Azerbaijan Museum of History, Ali Farhadov; Lecturer at the Department of Philosophy and Social Sciences at the Azerbaijan University of Languages, Leyla Hajiyeva; Chief Advisor of the Center, Araz Qurbanov; Senior Advisor Billura Aslanova; and Advisor Tahira Alaskarova.

Participants received lectures on topics such as “The Subject and Significance of the Azerbaijani Multiculturalism Discipline,” “Models of Multiculturalism in Different Countries,” “Ideas of Tolerance and Multiculturalism in the History of Azerbaijani Socio-Philosophical Thought,” “Religious Diversity and the Multiculturalism Policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” “Azerbaijanism and Multiculturalism,” and “Multiculturalism in Modern Azerbaijan,” among others.

During the training, extensive discussions took place, and questions of interest to participants were addressed.

Notably, the training was attended by Mehriban Aliyeva, Deputy Director of the “Genocide Memorial Complex” in Guba, as well as staff members of the complex’s Research, Exhibition, and Fund Departments: Letafet Beybutova, Abutalib Turabov, Ulker Zeynalova, Emin Ulubayov, Sariya Abidova, Orkhan Huseynov, Namig Bagirli, Nazila Mammadova, Khayal Nukhbalayev, Nurjan Allahverdiyeva, and Islam Aslanov.
