Azerbaijan Democratic Republic

By a decision of the Parliament of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic of December 7, 1918, the delegation was sent to Paris with full authority and rights, headed by Parliament Speaker Alimardan bey Topchubashev. As a result of the long and hard work of our delegation, January 11, 1920 the Supreme Council of the Paris Peace Conference decided to recognize the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. Thus, ADR was recognized de facto.
Today, 100 years ago, from the balcony of the second floor of the same building M.A. Rasulzade made a speech, which he completed with the words:
“The people of Azerbaijan have presented independence to the whole world.
Once the ascended flag, will not fall again! ”

Commemoration of the 20th January tragedy

   

Book exhibition was held at the commemorative event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the January 20, 1990  in Guba Genocide Memorial Complex and the “Bloody January” film was shown as part of the “Historical Films” project. In addition, a short video showing the January 20 events for local and foreign visitors arriving at the Complex are presenting on January 19-20. and also professional guides  of the Complex are informing them with detailed information on this event.

Authoritative Arab media publishes broad article on genocide of Azerbaijanis

The author of the book “The Road to Peace in the Caucasus”, the well-known Egyptian journalist who writes articles about our country on various topics in Arabic-language media and internet sites, visited the Guba Genocide Memorial Complex on the eve of the 100th anniversary on the Genocide of Azerbaijanis . He published the broad article “The 100-th anniversary for the genocide against Azerbaijanis”

Azərbaycan Respublikasının Prezidenti cənab İlham Əliyevin 30 dekabr 2019-cu il tarixli Sərəncamına əsasən 2020-ci il Azərbaycan Respublikasında “Könüllülər ili” elan edilmişdir.
Könüllü fəaliyyəti haqqında müvafiq Sərəncama uyğun olaraq Quba şəhərində “Soyqırımı Memorial Kompleksi” tərəfindən 18-29 yaşlı, tələbə və ya ali təhsilli, istedadlı, xarici dil bacarıqları olan (ingilis və digər), kreativ düşüncəli, fəal ictimaiyyətçi gənclər Kompleksdə təşkil olunacaq Könüllülük proqramında iştiraka dəvət edilir.
Təşkil olunacaq proqramı uğurla başa vuran gənclərə Kompleksin rəhbərliyi tərəfindən sertifikatlar təqdim ediləcək və xüsusi fərqlənən gənclər Kompleksin ehtiyat kadrları kimi qeydiyyata alınacaqdır.

“Let's Know Our Country”

As part of the educational tour “Let’s Know Our Country”, on November 14-15, 2019, students from Ganja, Sumgait, Mingachevir, Yevlakh, Shirvan, Naftalan, Shusha, Kelbajar, Khojaly, Lachin, Khojavand, Zangilan and Gubadly regions visited Guba. During the visit, participants visited the Genocide Memorial Complex. They were provided with detailed information about the genocide committed by Armenian military gangs on Azerbaijani lands at the beginning of the 20th century.

There was organized an event by the Genocide Memorial Complex in Guba and the Guba Regional "Asan Service" Center with the participation of young people in the framework of the European Heritage Days project.

An event was held in Guba on September 19-20 as part of the “European Heritage Days” project in cooperation of the Genocide Memorial Complex and Guba Regional “Asan Xidmet” Center. The project involved more than 80 students and active youth from Guba education institutions. The purpose of the event is to create a sense of patriotism in young people, to explain the importance of collaboration and cooperation, socialization through interactive methods. The following events were held:

  • “Asan Xidmet” volunteers participated in the landscape photography training of the photography, video and computer specialist of the Complex, Oktay Orujov landscape photography training .
  • More than 35 amateur artists from urban and rural schools of Guba have drawn a variety of paintings in the Complex. Special easels have been installed for the painting exhibition.
  • The event featured handcrafts of local artists. Ancient Guba carpets, examples of pottery and weaving have attracted both local and foreign visitors of the Complex.
  • Later, students of the Humanitarian Secondary School No. 4 read poems on “Patriotism” in the Complex.

At the end of the event, the distinguished participants were presented with certificates and gifts by the director of the Genocide Memorial Complex Rakhshanda Bayramova and director of the Guba Regional “Asan Service” Elman Isayev.
