Azərbaycan Respublikası Mədəniyyət Nazirliyi yanında Mədəni İrsin Qorunması, İnkişafı və Bərpası üzrə Dövlət Xidmətinin nəzdində fəaliyyət göstərən Quba şəhərində “Soyqırımı Memorial Kompleksi”ndə azərbaycanlılara qarşı törədilmiş soyqırımların 108-ci ildönümü münasibətilə tədbir təşkil olunub.

Tədbirdə Soyqırımı Memorial Kompleksinin elmi şöbə əməkdaşları və Quba rayon Fizika, riyaziyyat və informatika liseyinin müəllim və şagirdləri iştirak ediblər.
Giriş sözü ilə çıxış edən Soyqırımı Memorial Kompleksinin direktoru Dr Rəxşəndə Bayramova Kompleksin fəaliyyəti haqqında danışmış, eləcə də 1918-ci il hadisələrinin xatırlanması və bu barədə gənc nəslin məlumatlandırılmasının mühüm əhəmiyyət kəsb etdiyini bildirmişdir. O qeyd edib ki, Memorial kompleksdə keçirilən maarifləndirici tədbirlər şagirdlərin tarixi faktlarla yaxından tanış olmasına, həmin dövrdə baş vermiş hadisələri daha dərindən dərk etməsinə xidmət edir
Quba FRİTL-ın tarix müəllimi tarix üzrə fəlsəfə doktoru Əfşan Nərimanlı çıxış edərək 1918-ci il hadisələrinin Azərbaycan tarixində ən faciəli səhifələrdən biri olduğunu vurğulayıb. O qeyd edib ki, gənc nəslin tarixi həqiqətlər barədə məlumatlandırılması, milli yaddaşın qorunması və soyqırımı qurbanlarının xatirəsinin yaşadılması mühüm əhəmiyyət kəsb edir. Ə.Nərimanlı şagirdlərə tariximizi dərindən öyrənməyin vacibliyini xatırladaraq belə tədbirlərin vətənpərvərlik ruhunun formalaşmasında böyük rol oynadığını bildirib. Daha sonra Soyqırımı Memorial Kompleksinin Elmi Araşdırmalar, Ekspozisiya və Fond şöbəsinin əməkdaşı Səriyyə Abidova “1918-ci il soyqırımlarına şahidlik etmiş etnik qrupların ifadələri” mövzusunda məruzəsi ilə çıxış edib. O, 1918-ci ildə Azərbaycan ərazisində baş vermiş faciəli hadisələr, həmin dövrdə müxtəlif etnik qrupların şahid ifadələri və arxiv materialları əsasında aparılan araşdırmalar haqqında şagirdlərə ətraflı məlumat verib.
Tədbir çərçivəsində şagirdlər memorial kompleksin ekspozisiya zalları ilə də tanış olub, soyqırımı ilə bağlı təqdim olunan materiallar və tarixi faktlar haqqında məlumat əldə ediblər.
