В «Мемориальном комплексе геноцида» в городе Губа, действующем при Государственной службе по охране, развитию и восстановлению культурного наследия при Министерстве культуры Азербайджанской Республики, было организовано мероприятие, посвящённое 108-й годовщине геноцидов, совершённых против азербайджанцев.

В мероприятии приняли участие сотрудники научного отдела Мемориального комплекса геноцида, а также учителя и учащиеся Физико-Математико-Информационного лицея Губинского района.
С вступительным словом выступила директор Мемориального комплекса геноцида доктор Рахшaндa Байрамова. В своём выступлении она рассказала о деятельности комплекса, а также подчеркнула важность сохранения памяти о событиях 1918 года и информирования о них молодого поколения. Она отметила, что проводимые в мемориальном комплексе просветительские мероприятия способствуют более близкому знакомству школьников с историческими фактами и более глубокому пониманию событий того периода.
Преподаватель истории Кубинского Физико-Математико-Информационного лицея, доктор философии по истории Афшан Нариманлы, выступая на мероприятии, подчеркнула, что события 1918 года являются одной из самых трагических страниц в истории Азербайджана. Она отметила, что информирование молодого поколения об исторической правде, сохранение национальной памяти и увековечение памяти жертв геноцида имеют важное значение. А. Нариманлы напомнила учащимся о необходимости глубокого изучения истории своей страны и подчеркнул, что подобные мероприятия играют большую роль в формировании патриотического духа.
Затем сотрудница отдела научных исследований, экспозиции и фондов Мемориального комплекса геноцида Сария Абидова выступила с докладом на тему «Свидетельства этнических групп, ставших очевидцами геноцидов 1918 года». Она подробно проинформировала учащихся о трагических событиях, произошедших в 1918 году на территории Азербайджана, а также о результатах исследований, основанных на свидетельствах представителей различных этнических групп и архивных материалах того периода.
В рамках мероприятия учащиеся также ознакомились с экспозиционными залами мемориального комплекса и получили информацию о представленных материалах и исторических фактах, связанных с геноцидом.
