 Tədbirdə çıxış edən natiqlər ermənilər tərəfindən Azərbaycan xalqına qarşı son 2 əsrdə həyata keçirilmiş soyqırımı və deportasiya siyasətinin mahiyyəti, tarixi kökləri barədə məlumat veriblər. Bildirilib ki, 1918-ci il azərbaycanlıların soyqırımına ilk dəfə siyasi qiymətin verilməsi Ulu Öndər Heydər Əliyevin adı ilə bağlıdır. 1998-ci il martın 26-da Ümummilli Lider Heydər Əliyevin imzaladığı “Azərbaycanlıların soyqırımı haqqında” Azərbaycan Respublikası Prezidentinin fərmanında həmin dəhşətli hadisələrə adekvat siyasi qiymət verilib və 31 Mart Azərbaycanlıların Soyqırımı Günü elan edilib.
