Выступая с докладом на тему «Основное место памяти Азербайджана — Мемориальный Комплекс Геноцида в городе Губа», историк рассказал о деятельности Мемориального Комплекса Геноцида, а также о важности сохранения памяти о геноцидах, совершённых в истории Азербайджана. Она также обсудила причины создания комплекса и необходимость донесения этой информации до мирового сообщества. Отметим, что «Мемориальный Комплекс Геноцида” в городе Губа является первым мемориальным комплексом, увековечившим геноцид, совершенный против азербайджанцев в 1918 году. Его создание рассматривается как важный исторический шаг для Азербайджана. Конференция, начавшаяся 15 октября, длилась три дня.

В симпозиуме приняли участие известные ученые и исследователи из академических кругов Турции и Азербайджана, которые выступили с докладами по актуальным вопросам, связанным с историческими, политическими, экономическими и культурными связями.
На церемонии открытия директор Мемориального Комплекса Геноцида в городе Губа, док. Рахшанда Байрамова, поприветствовала участников мероприятия и рассказала о значении симпозиума, а также о вопросах региональной безопасности, энергетического сотрудничества и экономического развития в историческом контексте турецко-российских отношений. Историк подчеркнула глубокие дружеские и братские отношения между Азербайджаном и Турцией, основанные на исторических корнях, отметив их важную роль в восстановлении исторической справедливости и сохранении общего прошлого двух стран. Рахшанда Байрамова также подчеркнула, что такие памятные места, как Мемориальный Комплекс Геноцида, занимают особое место в памяти обоих народов, и что такие симпозиумы играют важную роль в донесении исторических фактов до широкой общественности.
Кроме того, на симпозиуме акцент был сделан на стратегическом партнерстве двух стран, культурных обменах и перспективах совместных научных исследований.
