18 апреля в рамках Международного дня Памятников и Исторических Мест состоялось мероприятие на тему «Сохранение и продолжение традиции защиты и восстановления исторических памятников», организованное совместно Центром Гейдара Алиева Ясамальского района и Мемориальным Комплексом Геноцида в городе Губа.

В мероприятии приняли участие заведующий отделом Исполнительной Власти Ясамальского района Зохраб Джафаров, специалист Мемориального Комплекса Геноцида в городе Губа, кандидат исторических наук, доцент Субхан Талыблы, ведущий научный сотрудник Института Архитектуры и Искусства НАНА, кандидат архитектуры, доцент Ризван Карабахлы, директор Дома-музея Таира Салахова Саадет Мирзаева, сотрудник Министерства Культуры Закир Гулиев, а также преподаватели и студенты Азербайджанского Государственного Университета Культуры и Искусств.
Участники мероприятия ознакомились с фотовыставкой «Наше культурное наследие: вчера и сегодня — памятники Карабаха», подготовленной Мемориальным Комплексом Геноцида в фойе Центра.
Мероприятие началось с исполнения Государственного гимна Азербайджанской Республики и минуты молчания в память о Национальном лидере Гейдаре Алиеве и наших шехидах.
С приветственным словом выступила главный хранитель фонда Центра Нигяр Гусейнова, поприветствовав гостей и рассказав о важности сохранения и популяризации богатого историко-культурного наследия азербайджанского народа, а также о неоценимых заслугах общенационального лидера Гейдара Алиева в этой сфере.
В своих выступлениях Зохраб Джафаров, Субхан Талыблы, Ризван Карабахлы и Саадет Мирзаева отметили, что благодаря вниманию и заботе Президента Ильхама Алиева в стране ведутся масштабные работы по исследованию, охране и восстановлению исторических памятников, популяризации образцов культуры на международной арене и сохранению богатого культурного наследия Азербайджана. Были затронуты темы реставрационно-консервационных и реконструкционных работ, проводимых как в столице, так и в регионах страны.
Затем был продемонстрирован видеоролик под названием «Древние памятники Азербайджана».
