At the initiative of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an International Symposium of Ombudspersons was held in Baku on the theme “Strengthening the Rule of Law: The Role of Ombudspersons and National Human Rights Institutions,” dedicated to the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty” and to 18 June – Human Rights Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The next sectional meeting of the 1st Republic Forum of Young Ethnographers, held at the Complex on June 5–6, 2025, was conducted online on June 10. It is worth noting that 32 participants presented their scientific papers during the session, which was held across 4 sections.
On the second day of the 1st Republic Forum of Young Ethnographers, report-style discussions were held on the outcomes achieved during the forum, and letters of appreciation were presented to the organizers. In addition, the participants visited historical and cultural monuments in the city of Quba and became acquainted with the city's rich heritage.
Young Ethnographers’ 1st Republic Forum – Quba 2025
After the Plenary Session of the 1st Republic Forum of Young Ethnographers, sectional meetings were held. The sectional meetings were organized at the Genocide Museum and the Quba branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University.
On June 4–5, 2025, the First Republic Forum of Young Ethnographers was held in Quba, jointly organized by the State Service for the Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the “Genocide Memorial Complex” in Quba, with the support of the Quba branch of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University. The forum brought together young scholars and researchers from the capital city Baku and various regions of the country. The forum aimed to study Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage, strengthen scientific ties among young scholars and ethnographers, and facilitate discussions on the depths of the country’s historical heritage.
At the Central Library of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, an exhibition titled “Karabakh Monuments – Yesterday and Today” from the “Genocide Memorial Complex” in the city of Guba was held. The specialist of the Genocide Memorial Complex, PhD in History, Associate Professor Subhan Talibli, provided visitors with information about the exhibition.
From May 28 to 30, 2025, representatives of the State Service for the Protection, Development, and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the organization of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, along with the heads and employees of seven historical and cultural reserves under its authority, participated in the exhibition and conference titled "Heritage Turqoise: Restoration, Archaeology, Museology, Librarianship, Technologies" held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The aim was to promote Azerbaijan’s historical truths, cultural heritage, and archaeological monuments.
On the occasion of May 28 – Independence Day, a masterclass was held at the Genocide Memorial Complex in Quba on the topic: "The Azerbaijan Democratic Republic – the Logical Pinnacle of the National Liberation Movement of Azerbaijan in the Early 20th Century." The event featured a presentation by Dr. Haji Hasanov, Professor and PhD in History, Head of the Department of 19th–Early 20th Century History of Northern Azerbaijan at the Institute of History and Ethnology named after A. Bakikhanov of ANAS.
