12 years have passed since the establishment of the Genocide Memorial Complex in the city of Quba.
On August 10, 2025, an open-air sketch exhibition titled "Patriotism Etudes" was organized in Quba, dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev's birth. The event was held through the joint initiative of the State Service for Protection, Development and Restoration of Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, International Gallery, and the Genocide Memorial Complex in Quba. More than 20 artists participated in the exhibition, creating artworks inspired by themes of patriotism, national memory, and historical reflection.
On July 25, 2025, within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Georgia "Youth Week", participants of the 2nd International Camp of Azerbaijani and Georgian Youth held in Quba visited the Genocide Memorial Complex. During the visit, the guests were informed that the discovery of a mass grave during excavations carried out in Quba city in 2007 served as compelling evidence of the 1918 genocide committed by Armenians against the Azerbaijani people.
On July 19, 2025, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Azerbaijan, Mr. Birol Akgün, paid a visit to Quba. As part of his visit, the Ambassador visited the Genocide Memorial Complex, honoring the memory of the victims commemorated at the site.
As part of the 3rd Youth Camp titled “In the Footsteps of History – Our Memory is Our Future”, held in Quba district and jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Western Azerbaijan Community, Baku State University, the ASAN Volunteers Organization, and the “Regional Development” Public Union, the participants visited the Quba Genocide Memorial Complex. During the visit, the participants were provided with detailed information about the genocide committed in 1918 by Armenian armed groups in Quba and surrounding areas, the mass graves, as well as the historical exhibits displayed at the memorial complex
Mrs. Maria Victoria Romero Caballero, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States to our country, paid a visit to Quba. As part of her visit, the Ambassador visited the "Genocide Memorial Complex" located in the city of Quba.
An educational event titled “Western Azerbaijan – A View of Our Historical Lands” was held through the joint organization of the Quba-Khachmaz Regional Representative Office of the Youth Development and Career Center, the Quba Genocide Memorial Complex, and the Quba Branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University. The purpose of the event was to disseminate comprehensive information among young people about the history and cultural heritage of Western Azerbaijan, as well as the past of Azerbaijanis who once lived there. Additionally, the event aimed to increase attention and interest in this topic.
At the initiative of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an International Symposium of Ombudspersons was held in Baku on the theme “Strengthening the Rule of Law: The Role of Ombudspersons and National Human Rights Institutions,” dedicated to the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty” and to 18 June – Human Rights Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The next sectional meeting of the 1st Republic Forum of Young Ethnographers, held at the Complex on June 5–6, 2025, was conducted online on June 10. It is worth noting that 32 participants presented their scientific papers during the session, which was held across 4 sections.
On the second day of the 1st Republic Forum of Young Ethnographers, report-style discussions were held on the outcomes achieved during the forum, and letters of appreciation were presented to the organizers. In addition, the participants visited historical and cultural monuments in the city of Quba and became acquainted with the city's rich heritage.
