As a result of measures undertaken to protect movable cultural heritage, 880 exhibits were restored and conserved, while relevant work on 362 exhibits is still ongoing. For the purpose of studying archaeological heritage, permission was granted for 24 archaeological expeditions. As a result of the archaeological excavations carried out, 636 artifacts were discovered, and appropriate measures were taken in relation to them.
During the reporting period, protection certificates were issued for the export of 3,134 cultural assets, while permission was granted for the temporary removal from the country of 122 museum objects and collections. Expert examinations were also conducted for 65 cultural assets intended for export.
In the first half of 2026, museums and reserves operating under the State Service received a total of 463,965 visitors. Of these, 342,305 people visited museums, while 121,660 people visited reserves. Through digital platforms, 138,718 tickets and guided tour services were sold.
Among the reserves, the Gobustan National Historical and Artistic Reserve was the most visited site, receiving 63,906 visitors.
