A scientific-practical conference on "Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijan's traditions of statehood" was jointly organized by the Gusar District Executive Power, the Gusar district organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, and the Genocide Memorial Complex, in connection with the "Year of Heydar Aliyev" and the 10th anniversary of the operation of the "Genocide Memorial Complex" in Guba.

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Genocide Memorial Complex, there has been a continuous increase in the number of schoolchildren attending the exhibition held at the Gusar State Art Gallery, which opened just a few days ago.

In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Genocide Memorial Complex, the Gusar State Art Gallery is currently hosting an exhibition featuring the works of Belarusian photographer Lev Dashkevich. His photographs provide a historical perspective on the genocidal events perpetrated by Armenians in Azerbaijan during 1918.

In 2007, a mass grave was discovered at the Guba city stadium. Subsequent investigations by a commission established by the Institute of Archaeology, Ethnography, and Anthropology of ANAS in the same year determined that the human remains found in the mass grave belonged to local civilians who were killed by Armenian dashnaks in 1918.
