The exhibition was held at the schools of I Nugadi, Zizik, Igrig, and Alekseyevka villages of the Guba district, as well as in the Zardabi settlement and at the Guba Vocational Lyceum. The exhibitions were attended by the administrative staff of the educational institutions, along with teachers and students.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Abutalib Turabov, an employee of the Complex, provided detailed information about the activities of the Complex and stated that the exhibition plays an important role in educating young people about the restoration and preservation of our cultural heritage.
Later, specialists of the Complex — Sariyya Abidova, Zarifa Alirzayeva, Islam Aslanov, Emin Ulubayov, Orkhan Huseynov, and Tarlan Mammadov — delivered speeches emphasizing that the study, protection, and restoration of historical monuments in our country receive continuous attention and support from the state.
They also noted that restoration, conservation, and reconstruction works at hundreds of historical and cultural monuments across Azerbaijan are steadily increasing in order to preserve the country’s rich cultural heritage. As an example, they highlighted that restoration and reconstruction works in Karabakh, in the territories liberated from occupation, are being carried out systematically and in accordance with planned projects.
The restoration of monuments destroyed during the occupation period is not merely a construction process. It also represents the restoration of our people’s identity and the recovery of lost values. Every monument and every stone is a memory. The restoration of these monuments teaches us not to forget our past and to build our future stronger and more firmly.
At the end of the event, an exchange of views was held around the questions that interested the exhibition participants.
It should be noted that more than 250 people were educated and informed through the organized exhibitions.
